Track!

I went to my friends track meet yesterday and it was loads of fun! It was also pouring rain and freezing cold, but totally worth it! I got a bunch of good shots of them when they weren't in motion, and like 3 when they were ( I took almost 500 pictures), so that is why there is only one in running picture in that collage. This also helped me realize that I REALLY love taking portraits!

16 is going to be a good year!

Rayna, there are no words to describe you! This was in the Seattle Public Library on my birthday, she was distracting me while everyone prepped for the party. Oh, and this is from my old point and shoot.

This was a a few days before my birthday, it was a beautiful day and thought I would post it :)

Birthday Roses!

It was my birthday this past weekend and it was the best birthday ever! I turned 16 and didn't think too much of it cause all of my focus was on getting enough money to purchase that beautiful Nikon D3100 up there. While I was trying to find the best deal, let alone the money for the camera, my best friend Rayna had planned me a surprise party! and to my surprise it made all the difference to help me start my dreams as a photographer. Each of my friends piched in $20 as my gifts! Thanks again to those people, I love you all so much! This is my first SLR camera so I did not go all out. I stuck with something simple, but something that could also give me high quality photos.

I found these amazing boots at value village last week and it sparked something inside me! Not only do I  a new passion for thrift stores, but I also decided I love boots!!!

BFFS!

This post is for my best friend Lindsay! We met in kindergarten and we were inseparable from then on. I love her as a sister, and from the pictures you can tell we definitely acted like sisters. We were crazy kids (still are). When we are together we still act like sisters, though we haven't seen each other for a while, even though we go to the same school. Hopefully that will change soon and we will have more classes together!

New semesters make me want new seasons...

 I just finished my finals and did well! We are starting a new semester Monday, hallelujah! Ha, I love having a clean slate :)

A Fruitful Post!

These pictures were taken in my photography class a long time ago, during our weekly stills. Can you guess what this theme was? The fruit was kinda dirty, but I didn't feel motivated enough to go through and take out all the blemishes so I decided to use this nifty little effect called "fresco" which did the dirty work for me (kinda ). I also just liked what it did to the background and how it gave some more texture to the fruit.
